spelling: readiness; we're not sure answer #6 actually makes things easier to onboard; if you have something external to OpenShift doing an end-to-end check, it may not answer the question of whether a particular pod is up and running, so you'd have to rewrite or augment the check regardless.

I may need to go back to my group and ask for more info on this one.
