restore from backup only if it exists
copy hidden files to backup. * is a bash expansion that doesn't expand to .* files.

Hey @kadel can you please rebase to master and re-run? Tests weren't actually working before.

This LGTM. I see no issues with the code and it works as intended (copying over the hidden files too.)
