Target download folder cannot be changed. #807

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I cannot change the target download folder
2. Try to change target folder from preferences, it will not change when you 
start a new download. 
3.this happens on a Mac even after a reinstall. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I see the old target folder at the bottom. It's missing on my nas so all 
downloads fail. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.82 transmission, latest remote gui from google code.

This happens to me as well on Mac OS X 10.9.
