Public intents #59

It would be nice to get public intents for something like going online & offline so you could automate it with ex. the tasker app

I was reading http://redmine.xabber.com/projects/xabber-android/wiki/Intent and spent 2 hours trying to get it working until i realized this is only an idea and not implemented yet.

I would really like to be able to go online/offline from tasker/llama. Is there anything I can help to get it implemented soon-ish?

Can you provide an update to this issue? Is there anyone still working on this?

+1 for this feature, would be great to control Xabber with intents / URI

voidzero commented 10 years ago

Can I sneak in an additional thought? I would like it if Tasker can run tasks based on incoming messages.

For example, if someone sends a command "LockDownNow8247", that can run a task that locks the phone, retrieves and replies the phone's coordinates, and snaps and sends a picture.

The possibilities are endless.. :)

Sorry 'bout necroing this, but can we please revive this feature-request?

andrewnenakhov commented 4 years ago

@cyfrost we're up for anything cool, but currently our plate is extremely full with various features and technical debt, so we'd like to do something like it, but not really sure when we get to it.

bleedingcrow commented 4 years ago

@voidzero has a most interesting suggestion @andrewnenakhov
