I got 5 kills as the giant very very slowly, and got the badge for 5 kills in one Crit Canteen.

appreciate the bug report and this reply is totally not incredibly late, but Crasher was removed from the Mann vs. Mann rotation who knows how long ago. It's probably not worth looking into the root of these map-specific badge issues if they aren't too egregious.
