Script error #1

Open sjl68 opened 1 year ago

sjl68 commented 1 year ago

I have tried to run the script and I keep getting the error below returned.

Command '"./install_hyperhdr_libreelec.sh"' failed with return code 2 and the following error message. ./install_hyperhdr_libreelec.sh: line 135: syntax error: unexpected redirection

This is on an Intel pc, I am not sure what I am looking at on the line 135 to figure out what is wrong so I am unable to debug

Thanks for efforts!

what does installlog-$(date +%F%T) say?

it should give hints

sjl68 commented 1 year ago

Sadly they are blank every single time I tried to install

reedy-au commented 1 year ago

No worries, can you give me the info of your NUC and the version of LibreELEC

reedy-au commented 1 year ago

I'll help you upgrade LibreELEC to use HDR and fire up HyperHDR. It should be pretty straight forward but things happen and ..

Also what's your setup? More specifically TV size, spliiter, capture device. What lighting strips are you using? Are you using a voltage regulator? If you have a liarge TV are you powering from both sides of the strip?

It's just bascially running HyperHDR and adding a systemd service file to libre

My mate as HyperHDR is awesome. The software they continue to publish is free.

If we can get it to work for you please consider to donate. They are awesome and supportive

The TV is a 48 inch Panasonic, a Feintech Matrix VMS04201, a new Dig2Go board (with WLED installed latest one) and the led strip (SK6812) supplied in the bundle. I am not using a NUC just a home built PC with a i3 cpu and a Nvidia card. The capture device is a USB one from Amazon awaiting for the one recommended by Anawa... Libreelec is the latest version 11.0.1

I have had the "other" software running before on a previous setup but I have been in the midst of a move and wanted to get this working at the new place so took the ooportunity to update the matrix as I need CEC and then saw the Dig2Go :)

I certainly will donate - he is doing an awesome job!

what do you have installed on your esp?

Doco says v19 will not work unless esp is flash with a specific version . What version of this do you have flashed: https://github.com/awawa-dev/HyperSerialESP32

have you flashed your digigo board with WLED and does it work?

reedy-au commented 1 year ago

it's 6am on Sunday, i'm bouncing from laptop to mobile. Sorry for the edits on the way to work.

sjl68 commented 1 year ago

The board came pre flashed with v14.0-b1 and the board states (read from WLED) esp32 v3.3.5-1-g85c43024c (0).

Yes WLED works perfectly.

Seriously if you're working it can wait this isnt that important :)

reedy-au commented 1 year ago

it's cool. You need ro read: https://github.com/awawa-dev/HyperSerialESP32

2MB serial etc. I don't know what your board is.

Then you need to flash the latest OR v7 and use hyperhdr v18

reedy-au commented 1 year ago

Honestly I threw that together because I have hyperhdr on 4 TV's and I automate everything. Other's have had joy with the script but I guess it depends on your bash knowledge. I'll be around for a while if you want to keep going.

F all is going on here I got called in for blah I just put on Naked Lunch.

I just looked up the specs of the dig2go, I may have misunderstood but it seems that this is a supported board?

https://quinled.info/quinled-dig2go-full-specifications/ QuinLED-Dig2GO Full Specificationshttps://quinled.info/quinled-dig2go-full-specifications/ quinled.infohttps://quinled.info/quinled-dig2go-full-specifications/ [cropped-logo-QuinLED3-Qsqaure-180x180.png]https://quinled.info/quinled-dig2go-full-specifications/

Bash knowledge is limited - incredibly limited 😂

reedy-au commented 1 year ago

Have you flashed https://github.com/awawa-dev/HyperSerialESP32 on this dig2go board?

Also this dig2go board needs to have a 2mbit uart chip or hyperhdr wont' work. I looked at your specs page but it says nothing. although it has a ch340 but whether it supports it...Probably better to buy the boards the hyperhdr developer recommends. That info is on their webpage and github.

sjl68 commented 1 year ago

I have managed to follow the instructions above your comment on the HyperHDR discussion. It now works without having had to flash anything. I would still like to get an undertstanding as to why your script didnt work for me - of course it could be that the nut behind the wheel (keyboard in this case is loose :)- ie me )

I really appreciate your input and if you have any pointers I would be happy to try them out!

I got the exact same error as sjl68 when running the script on Libreelec 11.0.1 on RPI3.

./install_hyperhdr_libreelec.sh: line 135: syntax error: unexpected redirection

There is nothing in the log, only the actual date and time.
