Last.fm #3335

Last.fm has updated their adblock killer and made the site 100% unusable with an adblock on. It blacks the entire page, nothing works except turning off the adblock and even then it leaves a pop up that blocks some functionality telling you to disable or whitelist them.

Since I use last.fm a lot, I did some testing with this one and tested multiple configurations/adblockers/etc.

FYI, create an account there (its free!) then go to https://www.last.fm/home - I don't see the anti-adblock warning when logged out visiting the main page, always after logging in. Might need a US IP too.

Tested the latest stable versions of Chrome, Firefox and Edge and results were the same for all three - All adblockers have default filters (e.g. EasyList for ABP, English filter for Adguard, default filters for uBO except the tests with AAK-Cont (with Tampermonkey), uBlock Protector and Adguard's English filters added).

Adguard for Windows/Mac = no detection (because I reported this a couple months ago and was fixed using a rule only the desktop applications can use) Adguard browser extensions = no detection (which is kinda strange since until a month ago I still got this detection in the browser extensions) Adblock Plus = detected uBlock Origin = detected uBlock Origin + AAK-Cont = detected uBlock Origin + uBlock Protector = detected uBlock Origin + Adguard's English filter = detected uBlock Origin + Adguard's English filter + AAK-Cont = detected uBlock Origin + Adguard's English filter + uBlock Protector = detected

Here's the rule in the English filter that the Adguard desktop apps seem to be using to workaround the detection, if it can be used to create a working rule or code for extensions (or the anti-adblock scripts/extensions) then great;
