MEGA broken in Firefox #4163

Open SilverSix opened 6 years ago

SilverSix commented 6 years ago

I've been trying to search and search for a solution to this issue but nothing shows up, so I decided to document it here. This has also been happening for months, and I updated the script last night. No fixes.

Upon opening Mega links with AAK active (using TamperMonkey on Firefox), the following message shows up:

MEGA failed to load because of

Filename: moz-extension://a4ced721-2fae-402d-8715-eb5094aaa781/userscript.html?id=1daa4397-ec08-43a1-871d-a49054c6ee42:5211 Exception: SecurityError: The operation is insecure.

Please click OK to refresh and try again.

If the problem persists, please try disabling all third-party browser extensions, update your browser and MEGA browser extension to the latest version. If that does not help, contact support@mega.nz

BrowserID: mozilla/5.0 (windows nt 10.0; win64; x64; rv:62.0) gecko/20100101 firefox/62.0

Static server: https://na.static.mega.co.nz/3/

Disabling AAK bypasses this and Mega loads without an issue. I tried navigating to line 5211 on userscript.html but I'm not familiar enough with the script to tell what's breaking the page.

Thanks for reading!

I have uBlock installed. I didn't see it referenced in the error message so I doubt it was part of the issue.

Also, I can't use an element picker to bypass this message because the error is thrown by Firefox, not the website.

This project has been abandoned & discontinued by @reek since November 2016, please uninstall the userscript/filterlist and everything associated with this project and

mozilla is a crap as a browser riddled with errors
