THIS IS A TEMPORARY FIX IN GAME TO HELP WITH ITEM BACKUPS IN THE TUBES AND IT IS RELATED TO THE BUG CAUSING THIS! So yes it is an issue.
So i have a huge world with tons of pipes for my generators and auto smelters, here are some screenshots
Basically i can show you how i fixed this problem of items popping out of the tubes if the back up, to an extent
Basically what i did was create a proxy so that the items have something to hold in before they go in to the actual consuming area, this doesnt work 100% of the time but but the chests that feed the furnaces are using hoppers instead of pipes or tubes because they don't drop items and they have an inventory... so my advice is to find a way to use hoppers instead of pipes for the actual feeding process, because i would be loosing tons more coal if i didn't, ALSO set the extractors to 1 item pull if possible! because it helps limit the amount of items lost, and when items do drop in my factory its only like 3 or 4 max and i have infinite resources so it wouldn't matter either way but it helps the efficiency if you will of it all. especially because i have limited storage right now its hard to not back up tubes so if you do what i did, a proxy chest, they it will help ONE filter items, TWO Help with cloggs or Backups, and THREE it helps make the process run smoother especially because the filtering isn't the best for the tubes.
But all in all i am tired of loosing items and i would like it fixed as soon as possible because the last post i saw about the "Easy Fix" was https://github.com/refinedmods/refinedpipes/issues/5 and that was posted April 25th of 2020, Last year. no hate to the developer or anything i love the mod don't get me wrong, but this bug is getting annoying and there are no other mods i have seen so far for 1.16.5 that has tubes or a specific tube mod for 1.16.5 so i rely on this. i do have other tubes from another mod but they are way too expensive to make and i don't feel like changing the recipes.
