New features: Story-specific ad tags

Scenario:

Advertising has story on news side; in other words, it advertorial content. Need to deliver ads to this specific page/story.

Problem:

At least on the news side, the variables that are feeding benjamins JS are automated, based on section/sub-section.

Requirement(s):

• We need a way to override the automated setup on a per-story basis.
• Other?

  Possible solution(s):

  Pass story ID (#(gStory.%Id())#) to benjamin's JS.

• Will need to add new field to django-ad-manager app, probably on the AdGroup model (or the Ad model).
• Call the new option custom_1, or something similarly generic.

OR, change the section property of the ad_manager object to target, and now passing the story ID makes more sense logical, like so:

The code would know to pass a story ID based on the story's category: "story tellers".

Override benjamin's JS call with a custom field (or similar), thus allowing for one to override the complete block of code with contents of custom field.

• In this case, we'd have to reserve space in the story's custom field section in the meta.
• Drawback to this option is that someone would have to manually enter in the values for each advertorial.

The final verdict: Change section to target and pass in whatever to the target variable (like the story ID or WordPress category).
