Can't open the help dialogue on German keyboard layout #793

I have the latest regolith version. The combination for opening the help dialogue is super+shift+?. The ? is <shift + [ß?]> on a German keyboard. Until now, it was only <super + ?>, which is <super + shift + [ß?]> for me. Now I have to press shift twice, which is impossible. So, I can not access the help dialogue.

I had some issues with the update from Regolith 1.6. I deleted all regolith-settings in /etc and reinstalled regolith-desktop. So, the info-icon button shows up now. With the button I have a workaround.

Just in case, someone stumbles across this problem as well.

In general, the whole structure of regolith is a BIG improvement. Settings are all more straight forward due to the atomic package structure. Well done. I'm a big fan since 2020.

Hi @MaestroGlanz , I think this may be related to your other issue. I think there is a version mismatch in your install and only some (compatible) packages were successfully installed. Can you run ilia from a terminal?

I cleaned up my installation (unused repos and programs) I retried and nothing worked. I first tried super + shiftl + ? => Nothing I tried super + shiftl + shiftr + ? => It works Now it works also for super + shiftl + ? and I have absolutely no idea, why.
