Connectivity very unreliable #78

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Apps says it is connected on its desktop dialog but onscreen app screen says
not connected no way to force a connect from the app - sometimes it works
sometimes it doesn't - the connection seems very fragile is the USB goes down
and it doesn't reconnect if the USB comes back up.

@spider have you turned on USB debugging on your phone? That's a step that's
missing in the documentation / app error messages.

@bigt it worked after switching USB debugging off and on. Good luck.

Still occurring?

Also are USB drivers installed from the SDK? (I know this is a painful step :-/)

Unplugging the USB and restarting the application did the trick for me. Seems
like compulsory to do a usb cycle after installing the app for the first time,
but then it worked like a charm everytime.

H Roman. First thanks for all your great work with tools and ADIA etc.

Always get "Not connected." when using. Have not been able to get to work once.
Using Windows 8.1, USB debugging is turned on, Samsung Galaxy Nexus with
Android 4.3.

Rerunning app, restarting the app on the phone, resetting USB debugging options
all have failed.

Possible causes ?:
1. Could this be related to Android 4.3 USB Debugging Authorization ?
2. I installed the Samsung USB driver so that my Nexus 5 (daily use phone)
could connect ? So USB driver an issue ?

Oops. So due to the law of demos (and writing issue reports), after several
restarts on app on Windows and Android side it DID connect !

Will try to nail down exact the details and post back.
