11 years ago For future reference, note that the convergence check is experimental. I noticed that even simple PDFs (see test/plain.tex) do not converge using xelatex. Parts of the font attachments (afaict) keep changing. So the current code for checking looks for the first font inclusion label and drops everything from there.
This is vulnerable to:
- Other font formats (it currently looks for
CIDFontType0CandType1Cwhich I observed; is there a list?) - Other always-changing elements.
- Premature termination because there is content after fonts.
Such issues will be fixed as they appear.
XeLaTeX is a popular replacement for pdflatex.
