Hello again, Johan. I hope you take this deluge of issues as what it is: A token of love for your new project. :)

I would like some indication that something is happening when I press r on the service. Maybe something like "Restarting ..." and then "Running"?

The same goes for the process output. Either clear it, or add a line "Restarting..." to it.

Your are welcome to create as many issues as your fingers can take. :)

I agree and I think that the logs must remain. Either with a "Restarting..." line or with the output saved to a log file.
