Odd issue with Fire Tablet only #123

I am having an issue with this card but only on my Fire Tablet 10. It shows the correct time on any other device (ipad, Fold 4, PC browser) but on my tablet running Fully Kiosk the times are off and it is also showing 24hr. I've not tried the manual overrides yet because it seems like an odd device issue over it being a card issue?

Worth noting I've tried all the basics like restart Fully, the tablet, and HA. It worked fine for a day or two before switching to this weird 24hr thing.

Just wondering if anyone has seen this before. The tablet itself shows the correct time (in Android). I was trying to install HA itself on the tablet yesterday but it kept spinning so I gave up on that for now. Can continue that today.

Hello @rirvin94 this sounds like a locale related issue. I am not familiar with Fully, are you able to switch region/language?

Hey there, appreciate the reply. I do think it's tablet related, was just curious if anyone else had the issue but apparently not. I can't find any region/time settings in Fully, and the tablet itself is set correctly.

If I force the card to use 12hr in the yaml it does go to 12hr, but still shows the sunrise at like 10am. I tried setting the timezone manually but that didn't seem to change anything. I used America/New_York so perhaps I should try a different GMT -5 zone.

Did you try another browser other than Fully? Would be worth testing. If it's an issue with Fully, might even report a bug over there :)

I'll have to figure it out...the fire tablet won't install anything from the Play store so I'll have to factory reset it and try again. Cheers, and thanks for your time! :)

I'm having the same issue with an older iPad. I can't get the iPad to recognize my actual location within the HA app. Shouldn't forcing the time_zone, latitude, and longitude make it work? Help.

Same issue here with a Fire Tablet and Fully Kiosk. We use it in a van, so we move around to different timezones. All other devices show the correct sunrise & sunset other than than this Fire Tablet with Fully. I can't seem to force a timezone with the "timezone" parameter either.

I think I found a solution. In the user settings on the tablet (in Home Assistant) you can choose "Use server time zone" under the "Time Zone" setting option. This was new in 2023.7
