Open avataar opened 1 year ago
Hey @avataar and all, is this still the case? I saw the described behavior once but never since.
Is there any other good reason to break links to the original repo? I'd like to keep the link for the sake of the Network Graph mostly. I suppose we would drop out if we detached the fork!?
Btw I can see good additions in your fork, @trollix. If you would like to offer those to a wider audience, we would happily welcome your contributions in this project here. Cheers mate ;)
That is literally the only reason I opened this and it's still the case. However, I do see your point in keeping it linked too. So let's keep the issue open to track the progress of the linked community issue (hopefully they'll listen to everyone moaning about the same thing there!).
Happy to go through with the detach at a given point. For me that point would be after we made it to HACS default and are recognized and know in the broader community of HA users
Hey @avataar, just wanted to check in, are you still around? Hope you are doing well and wish you a nice christmas time! Cheers
Hi @ThomDietrich, I've been overwhelmed with my daily job lately but plan to dedicate some time to the Horizon card soon.
Sunny greetings from Bali!
I was on Bali a year ago. We stayed only two days and went further east along a couple of islands. If I could do it again I would skip Gili, Lombok and Sumbawa, but instead take a cheap domestic flight to Labuan Bajo to do a 3-days boat tour around the Komodo islands. Just my two cents :D
Enjoy your time off and christmas, see you on the other side ;)
Since this repo is a fork of the original project and seen as such by github, when you open a new pull request the default base repository is the original archived project. Users have to remember to select this repo every time. The problem is described in detail here: https://github.com/community/community/discussions/11729
The solution seems to be to request the fork to be detached: https://github.com/community/community/discussions/11729#discussioncomment-4403106. @ThomDietrich, could you look into this?
