A friend of mine wrote: These translations seem accurate and more precisely reflect the original English expressions:

"dawn" as "새벽녘": This exactly means "dawn" or the approach of dawn. "dusk" as "해질녘": This means the time of sunset or the approach of sunset, so this is an accurate translation. "elevation" as "고도": "고도" is a commonly used term for "height" or "elevation". Depending on the context, this could be an appropriate translation. "moonrise" as "달돋이": This correctly means "moonrise". "moonset" as "달넘이": This correctly means "moonset". "noon" as "태양 남중": "태양 남중" means the sun's midday height or the time when the sun is at its highest point, which aligns with the original meaning of "noon". These translations show that there was an effort to use more precise and nuanced expressions in the Korean language.
