My installation seems to have a mind of its own. How can I stop it from adding random artists and downloading stuff I DO NOT want?

Did you try setting " Don't add new artists when post-processing albums " under Advanced Settings?

I have this option ticked and it still adds random collab artists.

Are they listed as album artists? They might be getting picked up in the scan, which seems dumb. I guess we can keep a list of extra album artists from albums added by headphones.... I'm really wanting to rewrite it so I'm going to keep all this stuff in mind

Yeah thats basically the problem as far as I can tell. It's collaborative artists; like a female singer for a specific songs chorus in a male vocals band. For me it seems to primarily happen when I update the library manually; especially annoying if your porting a whole library in.

I do have to constantly keep an eye out for artists being added by the new album scrapper too though. I just can't find a pattern for when it decides to add/not add unwanted artists.

Nice to know I'm not the only one having this issue. Woke up to about 2TB of music I didn't add this morning.

Will this ever be fixed? It is keeping Headphones from being way better than Lidarr.
