Today's Generation not reset at midnight #1

Hello,

I've noticed that the counter for Today's Generation IS being reset at midnight at the Utility dashboard. However, when checking Settings > Devices it's only being reset the moment the solar panels will generate electricity for the first time after midnight.

When calculating the total cost / revenue per day, this causes a chart which looks like it has a huge anomaly in the morning, while it's actually simply a reset of the costs done about 6 - 7 hours late.

Can you fix it in such a way that also the device is being reset to zero at midnight so we can get a good view of Today's Generation?

By the way: I'm using this on a Goodwe 3000-XS and works a charm.

Hi, can you please post a screenshot of your anomalies? Just to be sure I'm about to investigate the same thing.

Where possible mark the wrong values and note what you need it to be.

Hi there,

I have uploaded a screenshot over here: https://i.ibb.co/2PpyQtx/solar.png

On the left screenshot you can see that when the counter resets it causes the anomaly of suddenly having a higher daily cost. On the right you can see that happens exactly when the counter gets reset.

I have come to notice as well that every day it's at around 8 o clock in the morning when the device is being reset. Not sure now if it's a time issue, or amount of solar light after a certain time of the day.

I hope you can discover what is the problem.

For other readers: the above link wasn't working. This one is: solar.png.

Hi, being a Domoticz newbie myself, I have no idea where you got that screen from and how to get there. Please describe in exact steps (when possible with screenshots) how you get to this screen.

But I do have some advice: Please try to avoid the Today's Generation sensor device, as Domoticz seems to have issues with that value being reset by the inverter itself. I don't think I can fix that issue in the plugin. Instead, use the Total Generation sensor device, which also contains a today's usage counter (which is managed by Domoticz itself), maybe that will solve your problem.
