You're right, especially since we do want to support REMIND running on Windows. However, the current prevalence of this use case does not justify the time I'm putting in here. Sorry. Imma take a note of it, but this PR gets merged now. Thanks for pointing it out tho, I though we had this covered
Future reference for myself:
climate_assessement
logtext <- system(whatever, intern = TRUE)
did not have the desired effect of redirecting all output to logfile since climate_assessment
calls further scripts whose output still managed to leaked to stdout*>> <file>
is supposed to redirect all output of a command running in PowerShell and Command Prompt and appended to <file>
, however I wasn't able to construct an example case where this actually works (on windows, linux is fine)
Purpose of this PR
climate_assessment
python scripts (infilling/harmonization & climate emulation) is now redirected tolog_climate.txt
climate_assessment_run.R
: Fixed code indentation to make linter more cooperativeType of change
