This is a data dashboard to explore characteristics of a (non-shareable, proprietary) dataset related to a bunch of journal and publisher characteristics: https://the-strain-on-scientific-publishing.github.io/website/posts/app_announcement/

The dashboard implements some interesting ideas. The one that is most relevant to us is its use of search bars to add your favorite journals / publishers to its plots.

I'm not sure how easy it would be to implement this given the dashboard framework already in place, but I thought I'd add the resource here as a point of reference just in case.

This example uses a real shiny app (as can be deducted also from the url containing shinyapps.io. While our dashboard isn't a shiny app, it does allow some shiny integration, so this feature (long-term) could eventually be integrated in #10
