Currently the filter canvas is displayed in a popover and requires a click outside the canvas area for dismissal. This is not very intuitive in this particular context, especially because the UX automatically reloads after the user changes the filter (e.g. after the "show only fast charging" switch was toggled) so the user does expect being able to interfere with the UX immediately.
The filter should be automatically dismissed after the user starts dragging or panning the map or when the user clicks on a pin.
