Directory structure in file list #34

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

Title says it all, but still:

Sometimes, torrents have a huge file list. For example when downloading all
series of a tv show in 1 torrent. But usually, each season is put into its
own directory.

It would be very nice to see that directory tree in the file list :)

Not a bad idea, but this would be a non-trivial change so this must wait till
after
my final year project/exams are done.

I guess it could be one potential way to fix the problem of the UI freezing
while it
populates a large filelist, which I've wanted to sort out for a while.

I was just wondering where this stands. I have been using ruTorrent and it's
file
list is structured like this. I have to say it does make the file list load
time much
quicker.

However, there is a downside I found. When you have a torrent that has many
nested
directories it can be rather difficult finding a file if you don't knoe it's
complete
path.

To answer to last comment about difficulties to find a particular file, maybe
add
buttons to expand all/collapse all ?

I suggest make it default to show as tree, but leave a button, checkbox or
similar to flatten the list, maybe with the path as a seconds column? The
default should also be an option in the main options.

That would be nice, "Upload Promt" must be enchanced too, to see directory
structure.

Hey guys, I am missing this feature very much.
But unlike common users I am C# developer and think that if this feature is not
planned in near future, I'd participate in a project and implement tree view by
myself.
I think I can spend a couple of hours per week for this lovely app I am using
almost every day.
If authors have something in their mind about this, please share it with me.

I think if you know how to do this then just write it yourself and post diff
here. I would very much like this functionality.
