I couldn't find what is the open source license that o-blog is released under.

Can you please point me to a LICENSE file?

GijsHillenius commented 10 years ago

On the blog itself:

Copyright © 2008-2012 Sébastien Gross. Published under the therm of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 2.0 France License.

I think @swaroopch was talking about the free software license. CC-BY-NC-SA is not a free software license.

hellekin commented 10 years ago

The license can be found in the source: Licence: WTFPL, grab your copy here: http://sam.zoy.org/wtfpl/

Which is still not a free software-friendly license, as WTFPL includes turning free software into proprietary software. AGPL is so cool.

GijsHillenius commented 10 years ago

you're right! I should have grepped the code for licence.

renard commented 10 years ago

Indeed the o-blog source itself is released under the WTFPL. The blog content is released under CC-BY-NC-SA by default because this is the template which is almost used by anyone:-).

Obviously the example blog is a part of the o-blog sources, thus the license can be changed to WTFPL.

@hellekin @renard Aah, thanks, didn't realize the license was mentioned in the comments in the code!

@renard Thank you for a liberal license :)

Perhaps adding a LICENSE file with the license text would go far for making it easier for people to know the license.
