Fix for issue #65 #70

This PR solves the issue highlighted in #65 (Magenta borders around png with alpha channel (renderer)). I was able to compile and test it on my PC (Windows 7).

It seems this repo has not been maintained for some time now. Only those with write access can merge the PR.
