Crashing when using Octopi or Astrobox #558

Iv got a question about some strange happenings with my FT Cloner. I have a Folger Technologies Cloner. Its an Arduino Mega / Ramps 1.4 based Printer. It is flashed with the latest Repetier Firmware. I have been printing happy as hell with it, using my laptop. But when I try to print using Octoprint or Astroprint from a raspberry pi.. its not so good. It will heat up the bed, and the hot end, no problem. Everything works fine, until about a min. into the print... THATS when everything comes to a grinding halt. Literally, and the display on the Cloner turns bright white. This is REALLY starting to upset me, as I need this functionality. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

So if I underdstand you the problem only exists if printing over the Pi. Does not really sound like a firmware issue from that. Sounds more like the combination pi/printer has some properties causing a problem. At first I'd try failing software on working laptop. Or try repetier-server on pi/laptop which is easy to install. If it is a hardware issue I expect it also to happen on the pi. Normally pi/printer is no problem if usb voltage remains stable. Have some printers nearly always printing that way. If voltage i sunstable often a powered usb hub also helps here.
