Repetier-host 0.56 crashes after starting the program #52

Repetier-host 0.56 was working normally for several times. I've printed 2 objects. Then I force quited the program during slicing a big model. Now it hangs every time after it starts even before connecting to printer. I deleted the program, deleted all .stl files, rebooted system, downloaded older versions - every time each version hangs.

Perhaps your preferences file got corrupted. Try renaming/deleting ~/Library/Preferences/repetier.Repetier-Host-Mac.plist

That is the file where all settings are stored and a file that you never did uninstall.

Same problem here, deleted that file, deleted the software, the ~/Library/Repetier folder, installed again, same software, same install disc, but did not work at all.

I am really scared. I have just printed something without errors, restarted the software and it is frozen. All the times that it starts it got frozen. If I try to rotate the "frozen" 3D model, I need to minimize and maximize to see the changes. Its very strange.

I have the same issues. It is very odd because it was working just fine and now it freezes. It is pretty serious bug. It looks like this code hasn't been updated in awhile. In the meantime I ended up running a Windows 8 VM with Repetier-Host.

Try

defaults delete repetier.Repetier-Host-Mac

to delete prefereces. You will loose your settings but the host should start again. Reason is a wrong value in preferences. You might like to make a copy of your working preferences, so in case of an error you could copy it back.
