Some repositories provide libmariadb packages. ATM these packages are assigned to mariadb. AFAIU the latter is for client and server programs, current major version 11, while the former is just a library, current major version 3, built from the mariadb-connector-c sources. There are different product identfiers in CVEs.

The libmariadb packages appear under mariadb-connector-c.

OpenWRT is confusing, with "libmariadb" 10 until OpenWRT 19.07, and with "libmariadb3" 3.
Slitaz Cooking has "libmariadbclient" 10.
