Website that use Quicktime for Audio Do Not play #166

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. trying to use TapToTalk which is an AAC  speech assistance app
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
 audio is expected and i get none

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

FF 10.0.2 + chromium 17 on linux Kubuntu 11.10
Please provide any additional information below.

Quicktime plugin 7.6.6 WORKS  no problem
but
Quicktime plugin 7.6.9 DOES NOT WORK  ( i have several linux systems using 
ubuntu 10.04, 11.04, 11.10) 
those that use newer browsers with the QT plugin 7.6.9 dont work

and those that use the older 7.6.6 plugin Do work

What version of gecko-mediaplayer and gnome-mplayer do you have install?

This might be fixed in the current SVN of gecko-mediaplayer. I don't have a 
site to test against, but I have made some fixes that may fix this.

sorry for silly question ............ will this update come thru update manager
or
have i got to do something else to get it
like use synaptic to upgrade packages............ or have i got to use terminal
i can follow instruction but not smart enough to do it myself
sudo apt-get update ........... or upgrade is about it  !!!
i can follow instructions to build from source

Depending on your distribution the updates should come to you eventually. I 
have to do a beta release and then a final release so that is at least a couple 
of weeks. And then once the final release is done, it will have to be packaged 
for your system, and I have no control over that. And since I do not have a 
site to test against, I'm not sure it will even fix your issue.

The 1.0.6 release was done today. Please go bug your distribution to update the 
application.
