Refactor default behaviors to have easy opt in #28

After implementing this, and looking at the docs, i think this is going to be too confusing to explain. I think a better bet is just to highlight the "Playbook" in the docs, with copy-pastable examples in order to enable this common use cases.

What do you think @briandennis?

I like the idea of defaults as a copy-paste-able playbook 👍
