Add blurbs on frontend #2186

Failing CI is due to the implementation of Java 11 syntaxes, we can merge first and resolve this issue with the Java 11 migration.

Since this is an ongoing contribution to another branch on the main repo, this PR can be safely merged without any review. Any further changes made to the code committed to this PR will be fixed on the related branch on the main repo.
