What about a Meetup in August 14? :D

It will be a require('databases') meetup with some dear and special guests!

@dzacarias (https://github.com/require-lx/group/issues/49) how about you ? Btw I couldn't tell by the pictures, do you have a big enough screen to project slides and a projector ? The TV might be small

Hi, let me check. We have lots of deadlines going on. But we love hosting require(lx).

PS: Could anybody help us configure require() for a client?

Do you want me to give a talk on Databases. I have used most from smallest to the largest.... Why we still use mySql :(

you can configure require ?? Yes submit a talk, sure, but a 15 minute one otherwise the meetup will be over at 10 like the other times and that's not very nice, I'd love to be out of there by 9. Disclaimer, my talk will have nothing to do with big data

Hi @joaojeronimo

We're definitely up for hosting the event. The TV is large enough; we've done many presentations here without a problem, but you're welcome to come check it out anytime! ;-)

I'll be on vacation on august 14th, but I have teammates that can deal with any logistics on our end.

Can we make this happen? :)

@diasdavid Yeah, we do! You can hook up to a wired LAN or go via WiFi. Either way, you should be good :-)

I'll be out of the office after this Friday, but there's plenty of teammates that can help you with any logistics.

Would you like to meet in person beforehand?

Thank you @dzacarias! I'll be out of Portugal till the 13th though, but @joaojeronimo can make the necessary recon and check for requirements, I'm pretty confident that that it has all we need :)

I've announced Premium Minds as Venue+Beer sponsor, I hope I got it right from the venue proposal in issue https://github.com/require-lx/group/issues/49 , if Beer is not included just let us know :)

I've just updated our schedule, since this time we have 2 internacional speakers, it requires a bit of synchronisation :)

SCHEDULE

18:30 - Social Gathering, Beers and Snacks 19:00 - Meetup Starts - A year of require('lx'), what is next 19:10 - João Jerónimo 19:40 - Philipp Fehre 20:10 - Nathan Fritz

I've set this worldtimebuddy to help us make sure we have all our timezones in sync http://www.worldtimebuddy.com/?qm=1&lid=2267057,8,12&h=2267057&date=2014-8-11&sln=18.5-22

We'll be using Google Hangouts to for the video conference and public livestream, I'll have also an iPad that will work 'telepresence robot', so speakers can see the faces of the participants, if a question is asked.

@fritzy @sideshowcoder @joaojeronimo let me know if everything is ok. I will also need your 'hangouts' email accounts so I can invite you to the event.
