E.g. hovering a point that is part of an earlier frame in a multi-frame spanning point cloud yields no data:

Confirmed on both 0.8.2 and main.

I feel like this deserve a regression label but I'm not sure actually...

They seem unrelated: one is about visual history and the other is regarding selection undo/redo?

My bad, sloppy reading
