If a users signs-in on the landing page, you are redirected to the software page. This is a bit confusing, as the software shown is just the entire collection of the RSD, not your own software. Instead, it may be better to redirect to the "my software" page instead?
For example, if I sign-in from the landing page, I don't want to go here:

In addition, it could make sense to move the "new software" button to the top of the software list on this "my software" tab? This way, we could get rid of the "+" button in the header:
Which is now in a different menu from getting the overview of "my stuff":
We can do the same for the projects, but would also have to find a new home for the "add news" button.
