frontend: make error messages for user friendly #869

On some failing interactions I get error messages like Failed to save is_published. I propose to re-phrase these error messages to be more user friendly and understandable, p.ex. Failed to save published state.

If possible, also a suggestion what the user could do now would be helpful.

It's fine to fix these messages whenever you run into them, but we should also go over them to ensure we haven't missed one.
