Update to latest release on GitHub page from 2.6.0 to current 2.8.1 #344

Under "Releases", it currently shows 2.6.0 as Latest on Mar 22, 2017 https://github.com/researchgate/gradle-release

This should be updated to at least 2.8.1 on Jun 26, 2019 (as of now Nov 13, 2020 1pm EST)

also the changelog is not referencing those versions. https://github.com/researchgate/gradle-release/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md
