If you refers to the design attached on the Map View page, we would like to attain the map view functionality. We asked this in the begining but you mentioned that the new Geonode would solve this. Basically this page have the Map image in the background eg Osm, or Bing, etc but the bar in the left side list down all the issues could be used/integrated with the map in the middle. For example, all the layers can be seen there and can be selected to display on the map in the middle, etc.
