Costs needed for budget impact analysis #122

Open rachaelmountain opened 1 year ago

rachaelmountain commented 1 year ago

For the budget impact analysis it would be good to have costs on a yearly basis by the following subgroups:

We discussed that some of these could potentially be worked out simply by multiplying unit cost by number events per year.

Priority: high

All the listed above can be worked out from existing output except for medication costs. Can we add an output for medication time by year?

This is relevant to this issue: https://github.com/resplab/epicR/issues/117 and can be addressed together

Update followings today's meeting: can total cumulative cost be reported annually in output_ex?

rachaelmountain commented 1 year ago

I have sorted the above. I simply added a cumul_cost_prev_yr variable and did annual cost = cumul_cost - cumul_cost_prev_yr. The sum of the annual costs is equal to output.total_costs, which is good. However, it seems the costs are always inflated in the final year. I can't work out why this is. Are there potentially any costs that are getting counted twice?
