Just came back to close this comment, as this isn't so much a bug than a feature. If you create a subscriber from the context of a list, you can only set the first name, last name, e-mail and preferred message type.
You still have to pass via the context of the subscribers to manually confirm the subscriber. That was part of the confusion.
To avoid this confusion, it might be a good idea to remove the ability to create new subscribers from the context of the list, and force the addition of new subscribers to pass via the subscribers page.
Hi,
This probably isn't a bug, but a feature. It seems that when you manually add a subscriber, the
optin_date
field isn't set, causing campaings not to be sent to this recipient.I might be overlooking somehting, but at the moment, I manually set the
optin_date
field in the database, so my newly added subscriber does receive the email.I understand that due to privacy laws an optin of the subscriber is necessary, but I feel we also have to be pragmatic. In other tools such as MailChimp, manually adding a subscriber is still possible.
Could you kindly let me know how I would go about manually adding one or multiple subscribers and setting their
optin_date
to the current date?Kind regards
