Damn, that means there's an error during submission. You will have to:
Help
, Debug Output Logging
, View Output
File
, Save...
Yes, but next time please attach, not post the contents. I'm trying to find why you can't submit an error log, but in the mean time, can you disable Zotero sync? There's tons of errors in the log about being over quota and it makes the log harder to read.
The problem you're running into wrt the log submission may be a Windows-specific Zotero problem -- I will have to wait for feedback from the Zotero devs.
Probably. I am indeed a windows user.

Dude, I'm trying to help -- please attach the log files, don't paste them, it makes it impossible to follow what's going on in the discussion.
There's still a number of JavaScript Error: "You have reached your Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded. Other Zotero data will continue to sync to the server.
messages in the log you pasted, so it looks like sync is still on.
Dude, come on. Please DO NOT PASTE THE LOG FILES in the issue! Save to a file, and attach the file.
Please ignore all previous log files. I will do it again. Wait ....

Still just an enormous wall of text. Forget about the logfile for now, but next time, can you just log into github and attach it there instead of mailing the file?
OK. I will keep this in mind. Thanks a lot for tonight's help.

Can you try to submit an BBT error report after installing 5191?
@retorquere I am preparing to use python scripts to deal with journals abbreviations, cause I do not want to waste you more time on this minor issue. As far as I know, there are two following possible solutions published in the GitHub: https://gist.github.com/FilipDominec/9ff081952dbc4aae1df657a56c3db4ea https://github.com/Winawer/bibbreviate
Anyway, thanks a lot for your help on using very nice package - better bibtex.
I would still at least prefer to fix the problem that you cannot send BBT error reports.
Actually, I am not sure that better bibtex can find and replace all scientific journal names to their standardized abbreviated form. Could we use the translation table from the Jabref program, which contains all most of the scientific journals with both abbreviated and full names? You know what I reported here is only one journal. Similar consequences could occur for other journals ( I just guess, not quite sure).
5191 can not be installed. An error message pops out: "Firefox has prevented this site from installing an unverified add-on". What's going on ?

@retorquere Sorry, I indeed find a similar problem for another journal abbreviation (see below):
@article{BoularesSurfacephononstopological2018, title = {Surface Phonons in the Topological Insulators {{Bi2Se3}} and {{Bi2Te3}}}, volume = {271}, journal = {Solid State Communications}, author = {Boulares, Ibrahim and Shi, Guangsha and Kioupakis, Emmanouil and Lo{\v s}{\v t}{\'a}k, Petr and Uher, Ctirad and Merlin, Roberto}, year = {2018}, pages = {1--5} }
The journal field in the abbreviated form should be 'journal = {Solid State Commun.}
I think this issue is worth to fix, since using third-party program for post-processing is not always the most convenient and also there might be similar problems for other journals.
PS: You let install 5191 but it can not be installed. An error message pops out: "Firefox has prevented this site from installing an unverified add-on". What's going on ?
Damn, just ignore @Article which is a typo ( I do not why it is in upper case when copy/paste it here)
Install in Zotero, not Firefox. BBT is a zotero plugin; that means you had to install it in Firefox when zotero lived in Firefox; now that Zotero is only standalone, you must install in Zotero.
Please one issue for one problem. Look at the issue title, we're first addressing that you can't submit error reports, after that (or right now if you wish) you can open a separate issue for abbreviations using jabref lists. Handling two or more problems at the same time in one issue makes it extremely hard to have a focused conversation.
I submitted the report after installing 5191. Can you see it ?
I need to have the debug ID. Did you get one or is it still stuck on "submitting..."?
I have no idea about this debug ID. So can I grab a screen to you and then you can show me how to get this ID ?
What I do at this moment is: first I right-click on that reference with "Report Better BibTex Errors" and then click "Next" to submit the report, there pops out a message " please wait while the error report is submitted", and finally an error occurs - "No network connection". That's all.
Yeah that means it's still broken... can you get me a log again (attached please), and also check whether you can send of a regular (non BBT) error report?
@retorquere Did you see my attached log file ? Is it the right one ?
Yes, that is the right one. I don't see an error for the submission though -- can you try to submit a BBT error report?
And can you also send a regular Zotero error report? I won't be able to see its contents but I need to know whether the submission to Zotero succeeds.
:robot: this is your friendly neighborhood build bot announcing test build 5201 ("Merge branch 'master' into 855").
Can you try 5201?
@retorquere I have installed 5201 and sent Zotero error report to you. The report ID is 749676996. Did you get it ?
Note it is a regular one. The BBT error report is still a failure.
I can't see the regular reports but I use a similar method to submit them, so now at least I know that works. Could you try to submit a new bbt error report (which will fail I would guess) and then attach the log file as you did the last time? Sorry to have to bother you with this but I can't reproduce it on my end.
So maybe it's better to open another issue for me, cause it is urgent for me to solve the problem of journal abbreviations. Thanks.
It's perfectly fine to open a new issue for that.
Did you try to submit the BBT error report? I see the submission being prepped but not an error.
I could really still use an error log from after you tried to send a bbt error. There was an error in the previous logs that I think I've fixed in 5201.

Still open to help get this resolved?

Yeah, you are right. This problem is just resolved.
And how about the journal abbreviation issue ?
