Describe the solution you'd like
It would be fantastic if I could manually assign an IP address for LAN and WLAN within the Advanced Network Settings. Right now it is only possible to change MAC addresses for either interface. I have a unique setup where my ALU is wired to a laptop for network file transfers with an unmanaged switch between.
Describe alternatives you've considered
The only alternative I used was plugging in the aforementioned hardware and hoping things would work. Thankfully the two devices could still communicate, but I think they are using Layer 2 instead of Layer 3 with IPs.
Additional context
When plugged into the unmanaged switch, the Windows laptop automatically sets an IP address of 169.254.x.x (rightfully so). I am not sure if the ALU does the same or just does nothing. The Ethernet interface shows disconnected since it is not pulling a DHCP address. If it does use APIPA, it would be nice to see that IP still for troubleshooting.
