I'm encountering the same problem, here's my info

Account is/is not set up and chosen: Accounts are set up (droid and chrome)
Android version: 2.2
Android device has/has not been rooted/modified: droid is vanilla.
Android device: HTC Desire
Carrier: Globe
Country: Philippines
Version of android2cloud Android app: 2.0 [chrome is up-to-date btw]
The server I'm using: default server
The Google Account name that I logged in with: kevinzana@gmail.com

Here's a little more detail.

What I am doing, step-by-step:
 Chrome:
   Closed all chrome windows.
Opened chrome. > saw extension settings for android2cloud extension (as stated by OP)
   Closed settings (with no configuration)
 Droid:
   Opened browser, attempted to share.
   <Nothing happens>
 Chrome:
I close all chrome windows again, opened chrome again
This time, configured all settings step-by-step.
<When I get to grant access step, once I grant access browser tabs pop open of my shared pages>

What I expect to see:
Save of extension info, no re-reconfiguring. (Although this'll be handy when borrowing a friend's computer, you'll be able to push to their browser, making it easier to share pages to friends.)

Are both of you reaching step five of the configuration? The extension will
keep prompting you to set it up until you hit step five of the configuration,
which features a QR code. Make sure (after the tab pops open) you click the
continue >> link in setup that last time.

Also, please note that the bug report fields are there for a reason. The
quickest way to get an issue resolved is to actually fill the fields out.

Went through the setup guide > reached step 5 > Couldn't find 'continue' so I
clicked any link on the left.

Then, closed chrome > opened chrome > and ta-da! no more asking to reconfigure.

[EDIT]
It stops working on that second run, so I configured it again. It works after
configuration, until the next time I close chrome.

So I guess it could be summed up as:
Closing chrome causes the extension to stop working until it gets reconfigured.

(Thanks for the otherwise very awesome app btw, :D)

Once you hit step 5, you can also just close the page. You just need to make
sure you see the page.

As for android2cloud working after configuration, but not on opening Chrome,
I'm working on finding the source of and a fix for that. Hang tight; I
apologise for the inconvenience.

I go thru all steps and it works great until I close down chrome browser. After
I come back I have to go thru the entire set up procedure or it will not work.
I am about to try it again today. 12:20 pm eastern time. The app on my phone is
working fine I think the problem is with the link on the computer.
Using Nexus One and MyTouch 4G, both running stock froyo.
Thanks for a potential great app.
Vinny
PS will donate for all your hard work.

LyonsPaint, are you getting to Step 5? You see the QR code to download the
phone application?

I'm having a similar issue—the extension will stop working, but if I re-run
the setup code, it starts working again.

This happens sometimes even if I haven't closed Chrome. In these cases, I can
tell from the Chrome task manager that android2cloud is taking up 100% CPU
time. If I then kill the extension, reload it, and run through the setup
guide, it starts working again.

I'm using Chrome on OS X, from the Dev channel

This is a bug that I've found and partially patched. Sorry about that. The
after-a-few-hours error has to do with a token expiring, and the code to handle
refreshing it entering an infinite loop. Fixed that one.

The bug about Chrome not working unless you've gone through setup is one that
I'm currently investigating, and hope to have a fix for soon.

Yes I go all the way to step 5 and hit continue. The last few times when I have
gone thru the set up procedure and get to step 4 I believe that is where you
grant permission the set up wizzard takes me right thru step 5 to the welcome
window. Still trying. Last time when I set it up all previous web pages all
came thru at once, even the pages from 2 days ago. Must have been 25 pages.
Thank You Vinny

There should be no continue link on Step 5. If you could Jing
(www.techsmith.com/jing) your installation, that would help me immensely. You
should see, after authenticating with Google, a page like this:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6777769/step5.png

If you have a lot of tabs open, you may have to look for it.

I'm sorry after step 4 i hit continue and it takes me to the page with the
emblem to use with barcode scanner. I go thru entire process and it works great
until i close out of chrome browser. Then for some reason links from phone will
not go thru but in my extension list android2cloud is still listed as
installed. I will have to go thru the set up procedure again and it will work,
after deleting all pages that come up from past 2 days. When it works it is
instant connection, very fast.
Thank you

I just wrote a patch to fix that very problem. Sorry for the trouble-- an
update will solve that either tonight or in the next couple of days.

thanks, many people love this app as do I. How will the update be sent out?
Will the update be going to everyone or how will it work???

Thanks again
Vinny

It will be updated through the Chrome Webstore and Android Market. As long as
you got the application through there, instead of downloading it here, your
browser/phone should tell you what to do (or just do it for you, depending).

If you got them from here, that's fine, too. Just watch
http://www.twitter.com/android2cloud for the announcement, and come here and
download them.

Looking at some of the problems others are having I noticed you have figured
out some and posted them on one of your twitter posts. To make my problem
clear, I am going thru entire set up, thru all pages, the app works great, only
after I close chrome for just a second or two the link will no longer work. The
link is still listed as installed in my extension folder. To get the app to
work again I have to go thru the set up again and when I do this all previous
pages will load up from when I updated to 2.0. Three days worth I guess. I read
somewhere on your twitter post that the problem the app isn't sticking to
chrome browser is because some people are not finishing thru entire set up
wizard, I assure you I am, I made sure of this and still it doesn't stick. I
hope you find the problem.
thank you,
Vinny

Downloaded new update. The app is sticking to the chrome browser but when I
shut the computer off and turn back on again all previous pages I sent from
first version and this one all load up. The set up screen no longer pops up
just all previous pages I have sent all come at once. Getting there but not
quite. Reading other people's issues, it looks like they are having same
problem. I gave a 5 star rating on your app site because it worked fine after a
quick restart yesterday but today after shutting down computer completely, I
had this issue after restart.

Just shut computer down again and restart. The link is sticking but all
previous pages are loading up. Very close to a fix but Im reading many others
are having this same problem.
Thanks,
Vinny

Thanks for the info. I'm going to close this ticket, and discuss the new issue
(every link opening when chrome restarts) in its own ticket, issue 60, for the
sake of organization.
