In Categories tab, add item to existing category by typing #12

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Currently, users have to use filter to display categories.
2. Then they have to click on a chosen category.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It should be possible to add item to an existing category, the same way like to 
add it to a new category - typing.
