Hi

I stripped back the complexity so that it works in older versions of node and provided a fix for the command line interface issue.

It does mean you'll have to go to a major version as it creates a new API approach.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for this and sorry for my delay in merging it! I merged this with the latest code and made a major version bump.
