Experiencing very poor range (<1ft) #15

Sorry in advance if this is not the right place to put this.

I've just completed building my own Mitosis but have been experiencing incredibly poor range between the keyboards and the receiver. In an attempt to improve this, I changed the transmit power to 4dBm and decreased the bitrate to 1Mbit but still am not getting anything above a foot of range. I'm very new to this hardware so I'm not sure what other troubleshooting can be done. Could anyone provide some instruction on how I might fix this? Thanks a lot!

I would also be interested in this. I have a nice range of several meters but somehow it's missing key presses now and then when I'm typing relatively fast no matter how close I'm to the dongle.

Edit: My problem seemed to be related poor battery contact and/or interference with other wireless products in the environment. Solved for me.

I had this issue too on some of my builds. Unfortunately it was just a faulty nrf chip. As soon as I replaced it the range went back to like 5-7 feet.

I'm suddenly having this problem with one half. Good to know about the faulty NRF chip. Guess there's some soldering in my near future...
