I understand https://github.com/teknixstuff has lost access to that account, however if Revert8Plus is still in development, I'd like to make a little complaint about the installer/uninstaller.
Now, to begin with, Revert8Plus is amazing. All the transformations in one? Fantastic. I cannot overstate how amazing this is.
But the installer really could do with giving the user more choice. For example, I was already using OpenShell for the taskbar. Sure it doesn't give the exact button look from Vista/7 (man I miss the glow) but I accept that for what it is because OpenShell's Start Menu is far superior.
Plus, I would've loved to keep the Windows 11 Explorer. Tabs are too good to lose out on. If the new Task Manager can be aero-ified that well, surely someone can do the same for modern Explorer.
As for the uninstaller, it very seriously needs to either keep track of things that were already installed, or give the user the opportunity to uncheck certain programs if they want to keep them. This complaint arises from the fact that I had the Windows Vista/7 games pack installed long before Revert8Plus. Yet uninstalling R8P then got rid of the games. Not pleased with that.
With these fixes, plus if whoever developed the Aero patch could fix the ghost windows, this would absolutely remain installed on any of my 11 machines.
