[BUG] Intermittent disconnection; LWT #461

Closed sjhilton1978 closed 1 month ago

sjhilton1978 commented 1 month ago

Faikin hardware Faikin purchased from Amazon

Daikin hardware CTXM25RVMA, s403 jumper wires.

Describe the bug Periodically Faikin will disconnect from the network. The reason given for disconnection in MQTT is LWT. No error codes are present on the air conditioner.

To Reproduce Not reproducible, occasionally it will recover itself, but it usually recovers on resetting the air conditioning unit.

Additional context I have a multiple Faikin's installed by this method (5 other units) and all are connected to MQTT and Home Assistant (via Daikin integration) and are working well. I have a spare Faikin that I could try in this unit if it could be a hardware fault.

LWT just means it disconnected, that is the "Last Will and Testament" message logged with the MQTT server at connect.

So could simply be a WiFi issue maybe (is it in a metal case?).

Hi RevK,

Thanks for the message. That's good to know!

All of my Faikins are installed inside the metal box inside the air conditioner as the 403 connection is not isolated. I think the wifi is ok for this unit, but I'll do some further checking.

I'll see if I can delete the bug report.

Many thanks,

Stuart
