[global] did you guys forgot you have mail server? #287

It's up and working for me. Maybe it's some issue with your mailserver, or just a temporary outage?

ok it worked from gmail, zammad auto-reply_20220109002738

but that's the only address my server couldn't reach, ever. ...i'll see if it's in zammad's default config to reject smaller clients

Zammad uses IMAP to read emails from our mail server - It can't cause emails to be rejected. Can you try sending your email again to check if this was a temporary issue? Otherwise double check your own mailserver.

According to mxtoolbox you don't appear to have a DMARC policy configured. I don't know if that could cause your mails to be rejected, but you should definitely set one up.

like, im sorry we have to go over this, but i had to fish out helpdesk reply with email-confirmation link from quarantine, so it's not just me helpdesk reply with email-confirmation link_20220109201633

regarding my dmarc – i explicitly fixed it yesterday:

..even though it was already a non-issue for gmail, or anyone else i ever communicated with :shrug:

The mail server is on smtp.revolt.chat

There is an MX record on revolt.chat resolving to smtp.revolt.chat

Cloudflare does not proxy smtp.revolt.chat

Closing due to inactivity. Haven't received any other reports of issues with the mail server; support tickets and registrations have been running as normal for the past few months.
