I see that the 'Solari' have a big presence of a Germanic language in them. It's quite neat how you made those several languages, well done! While we don't have a lot yet on the races' individual languages, I'm sure we can workshop something. The only thing I can point out currently with reliable certainty is the fact that the 'Solari' would use a lot of variations of the Ancient tongue, and that the Haellera perhaps don't use any throat sounds and shy away from using 'r'. I could be sorely mistaken, since Candle and I haven't touched this topic just yet, but we will keep you posted!
Keep doing what you're doing ;)
Yeah i picked germanic based on how most languages now developed from or around it. Variations of ancient tongue should be easy though, after it is developed heh. For haellera it should be easy to mold it away from r's and throaty. WouId it be better if it was more around b's, o's and g's?
Nul, did you send your application for review yet?
Yeah, i commented it on the "candle is looking for a lore team" issue. Is there an actual application?
I'm not sure right now who'se the head of the lore team so I assigned this ticket to who I think it is so you guys can update it accordingly.
This is me just messing about with a couple of my spirit guides taking preexisting nonhuman languages and slightly warping them. The following lines are all translations of “For a moment, nothing happened. Then, after a second or so, nothing continued to happen.” Bonus points if you can tell me what book that is from ;3 Let me know what you think of the flow of the words and if they seem fitting for the race. If needed I can do how to pronounce the words in an edit. Also also, I can do drawings of what the font for each language can look like if we want to even go as far as different alphabets for each race.
Brecar "Dor vemor, curth ro-verth. Thren, re bemir sovar, curth ro-furethr verth." Voiced from back of the throat.
Thyruun "Leyera, sovne maryen. Sen, vo yesha, sovne cerbreth marye." From the front of the mouth
Haellera "Glub glub bloob glUb glup glub glop glub clicking sounds blurb" (real version) "Gorrdor, rish bovrn. Athro bren versh, rish dureth bovrn." Half way between middle and back of throat.
Solari "Cor vor mir, ceter rish. Merv vorist mer been, vor bovunden mir." Like English normally is, just a little faster.
