[Privacy] Since we're at it. NDA's? #120

Since we're at the whole concept of Terms Of Service we should write up a non disclosure agreement that encompasses the contents of the github and the names / identities / Contact Information of the people on the server and the intellectual property of FallenFates collective.

I think this may be taken lightly but since we're at the whole making legal contracts and things an NDA isnt exactly the worst idea out there.

Factoring in what is protected and who signs the NDA's will need to be discussed but I believe anyone who will be exposed to us on a personal level should have a good template to build how they interact and respect each others privacy here especially considering the number of people who'se privacy's importance is paramount.

If we're going into the realms of NDA's, count me out. I won't be taking any part of it. I believe in a free trade of information and creativity. NDA's slow the evolution of technology and annoy the piss out of most developers. As Notch once said, "Any person that creates a copyright or a NDA on a creative property, is an idiot"

So no, we're a server, not a company. We create creative things to share with people, because we love sharing our ideas. If someone wants to steal a few of our ideas and apply them to there own and create something just as wonderful or even more glorious. More power to them. Because thats how creativity works. The best artists in the world started by copying. Its how creativity and the world of art works, it evolves by copying the great, discarding the bad, and refining and improving what was once considered a copy.

So no, if you expect me to sign a NDA of some sort. I'm leaving.

its more meant to be along the lines of respecting the privacy of others on this server specifically the people who already have enough privacy problems.

Also this is from an individual who'se company is nothing but secrets and nondisclosure left right and center. We still to this date have no idea whats in the new mcapi but anyways. We should definitely consider for the privacy of our staff at the very least consider nda'ing people.

copying =/= improving..

If someone took an idea I had and made money off of it because they copied my idea, I am not ok with that. Patents and copyrights exist for protection of creative property, which is a thing mind you. It is just as immoral to steal an idea as it is to steal a bike. Just stealing an idea tends to be easier. An idea is something I put hard work into, I fight to discover it..

I am not saying yey NDA.. just saying, you should have some basic respect for the concept of intellectual property.. If the concept of intellectual property didn't exist the world would be a pretty disastrous place.
